Creation of the association of legal entities, dedicated to helping people with mental disorders (2017-2018)

The goal is to create the association of legal entities, consisting of the organizations, dedicated to helping people with mental disorders.
The objectives are: consolidation of the resources of the organizations that have common goals and objectives towards people with mental disorders;
• organization of meetings and trainings with initiative groups and participants of Almaty and Almaty region;
• preparation and implementation of the development strategies of the association of legal entities.
Since the beginning of the current year, within the framework of the project Creation of the association of legal entities, dedicated to helping people with mental disorders, with the support of Soros Foundation Kazakhstan, the President of the Private Charitable Fund “Azamat Aleuety” Almagul Dauletkaziyevna Seysenova has had a number of meetings with the parents/legal representatives of children and teenagers with special educational needs, with the disabled people, with the initiative groups of parents, and with the representatives of state bodies, in Zhambyl, Atyrau, Aktobe, Mangystau, Turkistan, West Kazakhstan, Almaty regions, and in Almaty and Shymkent cities. The topic of the meetings was “System of pedagogical, correction and psychological support, medical rehabilitation and social adaptation of children and teenagers with special educational needs”.
The following issues have been discussed:
1. The system of pedagogical, correction, psychological support, medical rehabilitation and social adaptation of children and teenagers with special educational needs.
2. Vocational training and further employment of disabled people in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. Legal framework of the abovementioned issues.
4. National plan for improving the quality of life of disabled people and fulfillment of the obligations of the RoK in accordance with the articles and paragraphs of the UN Convention On rights of disabled people.
5. The concept of modernization of social services in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
6. Alternative services, provided to people with mental disorders in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
