THE GOALS

The goals of the fund are:

  • all possible assistance in the development and improvement of the social sphere of the country, in the implementation of the most important and advanced scientific research and social and economic projects, in the development of civic engagement of vulnerable groups of population;
  • assistance in the creation and development of the efficient legal, economic and social directions of psycho-pedagogical  correction, social adaptation, medical and vocational rehabilitation 
  • implementation of the awareness-raising activities
  • conducting advocacy campaigns, including information campaigns, that highlight all aspects of life of children, teenagers and young people with disabilities, and elderly people, and people in the difficult life situation;
  • provision of legal, educational, medical, social, rehabilitation, sports and health-improvement, correction, advisory services, as prescribed by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • development of independent living skills by temporary, all-day stay or permanent residence in the centers of adaptation and rehabilitation, independent living centers or halfway houses;
  • conducting the activities on inspection of the current knowledge and skills, assistance in formation of work skills, teaching the available professions, assistance in getting the profession and further employment;
  • participation in the implementation of the projects in accordance with the Standards of provision of special social services, in order to fulfill the state order;
  • development of alternative ways of social support, early intervention, daytime employment, independent, temporary stay or permanent residence of people with disabilities, and citizens, who are in the difficult life situation, and elderly people;
  • conducting courses, seminars and various trainings for people, who are in the difficult life situation, and for specialists and their family members;
  • provision of consulting assistance to the parents, teachers, social workers, doctors on the issues of education, treatment and socialization of the children, teenagers and young people with behavior deviations and disorders;
  • assistance to the clients in selection of the place of work in line with their abilities, wishes and qualification, practical experience and skills;
  • developing and conducting the qualification upgrading and retraining courses for the specialists, who work in the special education, healthcare, social protection and other areas, providing services for the people in the difficult life situation;  
  • assistance in the qualification upgrading of the specialists, in acquisition of new ways and methods of work with people with disabilities and/
    or people, who are in the difficult life situation, transfer of the advanced domestic and foreign experience;
  • increasing the level of theoretical concepts and practical skills of the specialists and volunteers, dealing with the problems of the vulnerable groups of population;
  • provision of charitable and social assistance to people, who are in the difficult life situation;

provision of care for lonely and elderly people with disabilities, for children, teenagers and young people with special education needs and for other people, who need care and support.
