OBJECTIVES AND MISSIONS

The main objectives of the Fund are:

  • development of the cultural, professional and other contacts between the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and citizens of other countries, and state bodies and non-governmental organizations;
  • assistance in the creation of the favorable legal, social and information environment for the families with children of an early, pre-school and school age, teenagers and young people with disabilities;
  • preparation of methodological and technological resources for the development of social work with people with special needs and/or the people in the difficult life situation;
  • provision of special social services, focused on improvement of the service receivers’ personal development, socialization and integration in the society, taking into account their individual needs;
  • improvement of the quality and efficiency of all kinds of services, including special social services;
  • integration of the people with special needs in the Kazakhstani society, work on the development of alternative kinds of social support and help, craft workshops, enterprises of small and medium business, centers of employment and living centers for the people with disabilities;
  • comprehensive studying of the developmental problems and disorders by the interdisciplinary team of specialists, identification of the abilities and demands of the clients for medical, psychological, correction and social support;
  • elaboration and construction of an individual development program, taking into account the social situation and state of the client;
  • consulting the relatives on medical, social and vocational rehabilitation of the people with disabilities in the family;
  • assistance to the parents and guardians in social integration in the society of children with special needs;
  • teaching the parents, relatives and specialists, who take care of the people with special needs, how to provide basic services to the children, teenagers, young people with special needs, to disabled people, and to people, who are in the difficult life situation;
  • increasing accessibility to education in kindergartens, schools, specialized secondary schools, higher education institutions and other institutions of education and social protection for children, teenagers, young people with special needs; to education in kindergartens, schools, specialized secondary schools, higher education institutions and other institutions of education and social support; 
  • stimulation of inclusive education by developing stable partnership with the members of local community, with the parents of children, teenagers, young people with special needs, and with the local education authorities and other interested parties;

demonstration of educational movies, production of radiograms, conducting seminars and conferences on social, spiritual, cultural and other topics.
